There is no road. The car stops in Ao Nang, and the longtail boat from the east end of the beach takes about 15 minutes; pay at the hut on the sand.

The fare also covers the Lomprayah pier outside Chumphon, for the boats to Koh Tao; the boat ticket is bought from the boat company.
Stops on the way
A short stop, say a 7-Eleven or a viewpoint, is usually fine: ask the driver. A real detour is priced before the trip.
