Staying on Railay or Tonsai?
There is no road there. The longtail boat to Ao Nang beach takes about 15 minutes and is paid at the hut on the sand, not in the fare: give a pickup point in Ao Nang when you book.
Stops on the way
A short stop, say a 7-Eleven or a viewpoint, is usually fine: ask the driver. A real detour is priced before the trip.

A sedan takes up to 3 passengers and 2 large bags, an SUV up to 5 and 4, a van up to 7 and 5. The van is the only 7-seater, and the one for dive bags.
How do I pay?
