Staying on Railay or Tonsai?
There is no road there. The longtail boat to Ao Nang beach takes about 15 minutes and is paid at the hut on the sand, not in the fare: give a pickup point in Ao Nang when you book.
Going on to Koh Samui?
The fare ends at Don Sak Pier on the mainland. The ferry to Koh Samui is not part of it: the ticket is bought from the ferry company.
Stops on the way
A short stop, say a 7-Eleven or a viewpoint, is usually fine: ask the driver. A real detour is priced before the trip.

How do I pay?
